Superior Court Names Additional Attorneys Eligible for Pro Bono Appointments

In Administrative Order 22-02 issued on February 4, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia named three Hogan Lovells US LLP attorneys who are permitted to receive pro bono appointments in serious misdemeanor and low-level felony cases involving adults. Karl Lockhart, Rupinder Garcha and Carina Tenaglia, who have completed training with the Superior Court Trial Skills Program, can now accept appointments at the discretion of the appointing judge or magistrate judge.

After three rounds of arguments spanning two weekends, Georgetown University Law Center prevailed over five other law school teams to win the 2024 D.C. Cup Moot Court Competition at the D.C. Court of Appeals on February 23.
